The bio section of her website outlines that saying,\u00a0\u201cA humble, tight-knit, town and her parents\u201d\u00a0made her the woman she is today. So, it was a moment of grief last year when Randi Mahomes lost her mother, Debbie Bates. Now, while her son\u00a0Patrick Mahomes, is getting ready to lead the\u00a0Chiefs\u00a0to face the\u00a0Falcons in a Sunday Night clash, one more challenging phase hits the family as Randi\u2019s father Randy Martin is in hospital with a yet-to-be-revealed medical condition.<\/p>\n<p>Watch What\u2019s Trending Now!<\/p>\n<p>So taking to her Instagram, Randi posted a story with an ask to her followers:\u00a0\u201cThis is how I fight my battles. If you are seeing this, take a moment, and PRAY for my dad now.\u201d\u00a0The accompanying snap shows a group of singers on a stage where a giant screen behind them features the line:\u00a0\u201cIf only I knew back then what I know right now\u201d\u00a0from the song\u00a0For My Good (Sped Up)\u00a0by Maverick City Music. Mama Mahomes did not reveal much in her story as she already had done it a week ago.<\/p>\n<p>On that occasion, she had posted on X,\u00a0\u201cPrayer warriors please pray for my daddy. He is in the hospital and is not well\u2026\ud83d\ude4f His name is Randy.\u201d\u00a0As for the\u00a0why\u2014that\u2019s still unclear. But it seems Randy has been fighting a prolonged battle, given that it\u2019s been over a week since he has been hospitalized.<\/p>\n<p>Between these two\u00a0Instagram updates, Randi was seen attending her eldest son\u2019s birthday just one day after Mahomes threw for 154 yards and two touchdowns in a 26-25 win and the second regular-season win against the Cincinnati Bengals at the Arrowhead Stadium on September 15. Randi posted a picture on Instagram alongside the Mahomes brothers, Brittany, and star QB\u2019s half-sister Mia Randall. Even though she didn\u2019t provide any health updates then, on Wednesday, she posted two cryptic message that hinted at the fact that her father is still not out of danger yet. She posted,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just wish I could somehow make it all make sense\u2026but I just cant. #stillblessed,\u201d she wrote in one post. That was quickly followed by a graphic X post, this time, quoting a Bible verse from Proverbs 3:5-6,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Randi, who is the grandmother to Patrick\u2019s two children Sterling, 3, and Bronze, 2, with his wife Brittany, harbors close ties with her family as is evident from her occasional social media posts featuring her moments with the family. That not only includes Patrick\u2019s family, but Randi\u2019s other children Jackson Mahomes, 23, and Mia Randall, 13 as well. But equally prominent on her social media handles are her mom and dad.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, she shared a collage of photos of her father on the occasion of Father\u2019s Day. Showing her love, she aptly captioned it, \u201cHappy Father\u2019s Day dad!! I miss you every single day.. i can hear you yelling \u2018Go Patrick.\u2019\u201d\u00a0She had once again brought in her mother\u2019s memory earlier this year when the three-time Super Bowl MVP made it to the Time 100 list.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMomma would be so proud &amp; calling everybody in her contacts. And Randi practices that dearly. Focusing on my kids and being a \u2018Grandi\u2019 which i love more than anything.\u201d\u00a0Patrick Mahomes is already in his mother\u2019s footsteps in keeping family as a priority.
