An\u00a0NFL<\/a>\u00a0running back who played for the\u00a0Baltimore Ravens<\/a>, among multiple other teams, has announced his retirement following an eight-year stint in the league.<\/p>\n

Kenyan\u00a0Drake<\/a>, a national champion with Alabama in 2012 and 2015, is walking away from football, taking to social media this weekend to disclose as much.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been an incredible ride,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>he wrote in\u00a0an Instagram post<\/a>.\u00a0\u201cHard to believe 8 seasons have come and gone. I\u2019ve loved the journey \u2014 the wins, the moments big and small, the comradery, the energy, all of it [\u2026] Ready to enjoy a little retirement and see where the next chapter takes me. Thanks to everyone that was along for the ride with me \u2014 wouldn\u2019t change a thing.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Drake spent four years with the Crimson Tide before the\u00a0Miami Dolphins<\/a>\u00a0drafted him in 2015. He went on to record 3,866 rushing yards and 41 total touchdowns over the next eight years.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old spent over three seasons with the Dolphins and scored the winning \u201cMiami Miracle\u201d TD against the New England Patriots in 2019. He was dealt to the Arizona Cardinals at the 2019 trade deadline.<\/p>\n

The Georgia native played eight games for the Cards in 2019, rushing for 643 yards and eight touchdowns.<\/p>\n

Kenyan Drake Bounced Around The League, Playing Separate Stints With The Baltimore Ravens<\/h2>\n

Drake had the best year of his career the following season, tallying 955 rushing yards and 10 scores, earning himself a two-year deal worth $14.5 million with the Las Vegas Raiders. However, he was released after one season.<\/p>\n

He had two stints with the Baltimore Ravens, also spending time with the Indianapolis Colts, Cleveland Browns, and Green Bay Packers.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt felt like the right time,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>he told NFL insider Josina Anderson.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love the game, but I don\u2019t love the business. I\u2019m at peace with the decision. I\u2019m healthy and ready to start the next chapter of my life.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
