Everyone seems to be a Swiftie these days, including Gene Simmons.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0legendary KISS rocker\u00a0praised Taylor Swift while talking about the\u00a0new generation of bands and artists\u00a0who are making their mark in the music industry today.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no question,\u00a0Taylor Swift has taken over\u00a0and she\u2019s great,\u201d Simmons exclusively raved to Page Six at his Rock & Brews restaurant in El Segundo, Calif.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a fan. I know her, and she\u2019s a really solid person. Other than that, I\u2019m not sure what\u2019s cool.\u201d<\/p>\n

Simmons dropped Swift\u2019s name after reflecting on the musical legends of the \u201960s, \u201970s and \u201980s. The \u201cGod of Thunder\u201d rocker noted that, aside from Swift, today\u2019s talent roster can\u2019t really compare to the true excitement the music world experienced at that time.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we were growing up in the \u201960s, we had Led Zeppelin, The [Rolling] Stones, The Beatles, Elvis, Pink Floyd, Madonna, Motown and all of that, Prince, David Bowie.\u00a0All of that\u00a0was happening at the same time,\u201d Simmons, now 74, recalled. \u201cWhat\u2019s happening now?\u201d<\/p>\n

As Swift fans may recall, this isn\u2019t the first time the KISS Army has had some crossover with the Swifties. Last August,\u00a0KISS frontman Paul Stanley\u00a0took his family to see one of the singer\u2019s Eras Tour shows in Los Angeles. The Starchild even shared a pic of himself rocking tour merchandise via social media.<\/p>\n

Swift, 34, also\u00a0once dressed up as former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley\u00a0\u2013 Spaceman makeup and all! \u2013 while serving as the opening act for Keith Urban\u2019s Escape Together World Tour in 2009.<\/p>\n

As the country singer was performing his hit \u201cKiss A Girl\u201d in Kansas City, Mo., Swift and members of her band (also\u00a0decked out in full KISS gear) stormed the stage for an unforgettable surprise prank.<\/p>\n
