Taylor Swift\u00a0fans could hardly contain their emotions as the singer gave her boyfriend\u00a0Travis Kelce\u00a0a sweet shout-out\u00a0at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards\u00a0in New York on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The Anti-Hero hitmaker, 34, thanked the NFL star, 34, as she recalled shooting her Fortnight music video\u00a0while accepting Video Of The Year\u00a0during the ceremony.<\/p>\n

\u2018I would always just hear someone cheering from across the studio where we were shooting [Fortnight],\u2019 Swift began.<\/p>\n

\u2018And that one person was my boyfriend Travis. Everything this man touches turns into happiness and fun and magic.<\/p>\n

\u2018I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot because I\u2019ll always remember that,\u2019 the 13-time Grammy-winner gushed.<\/p>\n

Fans were brought to tears as they flocked to social media to react to Swift\u2019s kind words about her boyfriend of one-year \u2014 with many declaring it a \u2018hard launch.\u2019<\/p>\n

It comes\u00a0amid wild rumors that her romance with Kelce is a \u2018PR stunt.\u2019<\/p>\n

Swift took home a whopping seven VMAs for Fortnight, bringing her career total to 30.<\/p>\n

She officially surpassed Beyonce, who was previously the artist with the most VMAs.<\/p>\n

Her Video Of The Year win was also historic as she\u00a0become the first artist to win the honor five times.<\/p>\n

She previously held the record for most Video of the Year victories with four trophies under her name.<\/p>\n

Before sweeping the awards show, Swift hit the red carpet in a show-stopping look that first sparked speculation that she planned to release the re-recording of her 2017 alum Reputation.<\/p>\n

Though they spent the weekend together in NYC, Kelce did not join Swift at Wednesday night\u2019s star-studded ceremony.<\/p>\n

Music\u2019s biggest stars returned for another night of celebration at MTV\u2019s legendary Video Music Awards on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s festivities were hosted by rapper\u00a0Megan Thee Stallion\u00a0and held at the UBS Arena in Long Island on September 11.<\/p>\n

Stallion, 29, herself was nominated for five awards, including best collaboration and best hip-hop.\u00a0She previously won best power anthem for Hot Girl Summer.<\/p>\n

The evening was a who\u2019s who of music superstars with Sabrina Carpenter,\u00a0Katy Perry,\u00a0Camila Cabello, GloRilla, Rauw Alejandro, Benson Boone,\u00a0Halsey, LISA,\u00a0Lenny Kravitz,\u00a0Anitta,\u00a0Karol G, LL Cool J, and\u00a0Shawn Mendes\u00a0all set to perform at the show.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s recipient of the legendary Video Vanguard Award was Katy Perry.<\/p>\n

\u2018Katy is a musical powerhouse and true pop culture icon,\u2019 said Bruce Gillmer, chief content officer of music at Paramount+ and president of music, music talent, programming and events at Paramount in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u2018With her game changing creative vision, she has become a global phenomenon and taken over the world\u2019s biggest stages,\u2019 added Gillmer.<\/p>\n

Past winners of the Video Vanguard Award include David Bowie, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Beyonc\u00e9, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, and Pink.<\/p>\n

The award comes as Perry prepares to release her upcoming seventh studio album 143.\u00a0Her comeback single from the album, Woman\u2019s World, flopped in the charts following its release over the summer.<\/p>\n
