Blake Shelton threw his support behind Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce\u2019s relationship, sharing why he finds it similar to his own romance with wife Gwen Stefani.<\/p>\n

Blake Shelton<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0knows\u00a0Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s love story all too well.<\/p>\n

In fact, the country star\u2014who married\u00a0Gwen Stefani<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in 2021\u2014couldn\u2019t help but gush over how much he supports the \u201cBejeweled\u201d singer\u2019s relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do, man,\u201d the\u00a0Voice<\/em><\/a>\u00a0alum\u00a0told\u00a0Pat McAfee<\/strong>\u00a0on the Sept. 19 episode of\u00a0The Pat McAfee Show<\/em><\/a>. \u201cThe fact that they\u2019re kind of just putting it out there in everybody\u2019s face, there\u2019s no sneaking around or trying to tamp things down or keep it on the down low.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 48-year-old commended the couple for \u201cowning\u201d their year-long relationship, even comparing their courtship to his own public romance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s what Gwen and I did,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt\u2019s like, \u2018Look, I\u2019m dating Gwen Stefani. I want the f–kin’ world to know that.\u2019 You know what I mean? The fact that they\u2019re going there shows that they\u2019re probably super into each other and proud of each other and their accomplishments.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Blake and Gwen began dating in November 2015 while working together on\u00a0The Voice<\/em>, just months after their respective divorces. (Blake and\u00a0Miranda Lambert\u00a0<\/strong>parted ways that July, while Gwen split from\u00a0Gavin Rossdale<\/strong>\u00a0the following month after nearly 13 years of marriage.)<\/p>\n

As for Taylor and Travis, the sparks continue to fly more than a year into their romance. In fact, the Grammy winner\u00a0gave her guy on the Chiefs\u00a0beau\u00a0a shout-out<\/a>\u00a0at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards while accepting the award for Video of the Year for \u201cFortnight.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

“It actually was the most fun video to make,” she said. “Something that I\u2019ll always remember is when I finished a take and I\u2019d say ‘cut,’ and we\u2019d be done with that take, I would always hear someone cheering from across the studio where we were shooting it. Taylor Swift\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>and\u00a0Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a>‘s love story began in July 2023, when the singer’s Eras Tour made a stop at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.<\/p>\n

As a huge Swiftie, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end caught the show with hopes of\u00a0giving Taylor a friendship bracelet with his number on it<\/a>. However, he failed to complete the pass due to her pre-show rituals.<\/p>\n

“I was disappointed\u00a0that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,”\u00a0Travis shared on\u00a0the July 26 episode\u00a0of his\u00a0New Heights<\/em>\u00a0podcast. “So, I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

After publicly recounting his fumble\u2014a move\u00a0Taylor would later describe as “metal as hell”<\/a>\u2014Travis decided to\u00a0shoot his shot<\/a>\u00a0and invite the Grammy winner to watch the Chiefs play at Arrowhead Stadium.<\/p>\n

“I threw it out there, I threw the ball in her court,” he shared on\u00a0The Pat McAfee Show<\/em>. “I told her, you know, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit.’ So, we’ll see what happens in the near future.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
