Over a year after they began dating,\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>\u00a0tight end\u00a0Travis Kelce<\/a>\u00a0and pop superstar\u00a0Taylor Swift<\/a>\u2019s relationship seems to be stronger than ever.<\/p>\n

With\u00a0recent reports<\/a>\u00a0circulating about the couple getting \u201cvery serious\u201d about their future together (hinting that a possible engagement could be in the cards for the two), it seems like those in the couple\u2019s inner circle are fully on-board with the relationship.<\/p>\n

But it wasn\u2019t always that way, particularly on Swift\u2019s end, according to Life & Style, which reported that a source close to the situation confirmed to the outlet that some of Swift\u2019s friends (a group that included Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez) were hesitant about some red flags early on.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey didn\u2019t trust him, thought he was just some cocky athlete, and warned her to be careful,\u201d\u00a0the source said<\/a>. \u201cBut they\u2019ve been proven wrong. Everyone absolutely loves Travis now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Life & Style also claims its source says Swift and Kelce have already discussed having kids, while a second source close to Swift also insinuated that a wedding between the two \u201cwill most likely will happen in the spring after football season.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelce has taken some heat in recent weeks after getting off to a slow start this season. The 34-year-old All-Pro has just four receptions on seven targets for 39 yards through two games.<\/p>\n

Several media pundits have argued that his relationship with Swift has distracted him from his football career, though it\u2019s more likely his mini-slump has more to do with quarterback\u00a0Patrick Mahomes<\/a>\u00a0and the rest of the Chiefs offense also having a slow start.<\/p>\n

Mahomes is averaging just 221 yards passing per game, down significantly from the 265.5 yards passing per game he averaged through the first two games last season. Mahomes has also had 28 fewer pass attempts (58) through the first two games than he did last season (80).<\/p>\n
