However, he has yet to address Saturday\u2019s harrowing incident publicly.<\/p>\n<p>Outkick is among LeBron\u2019s critics, hitting out at the four-time champion over his lack of a reaction while away with Team USA.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cLeBron does not like Trump, often refusing to refer to him by name,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>the outlet\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.outkick.com\/sports\/lebron-james-shut-up-dribble-trump-assassination-attempt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bobby Burack wrote<\/a>.<em>\u00a0\u201cBut the events that transpired on Saturday are bigger than both basketball and politics. A mentally ill man tried to murder a former U.S. president and almost succeeded.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNow, there\u2019s a difference between James and, say, Patrick Mahomes. The latter excused himself from political commentary.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<div id=\"incontent-ad-1\" class=\"pw-incontent\" data-label=\"Advertisement\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"pw-ad-scroll-container\" data-pw-in-article=\"true\">\n<div class=\"pw_report_ad_container\">\n<p><em>\u201cMahomes just wants to play football. We respect that. Conversely, LeBron James wants to be a social advocate in addition to playing basketball. It\u2019s hard to process everything, and it\u2019s scary to think about where this goes because of the issues that already exist in the country. So this is a terrible day.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<div id=\"incontent-ad-3\" class=\"pw-incontent\" data-label=\"Advertisement\"><\/div>\n<p>The team is preparing for the Summer\u00a0<a class=\"mai-link-injected\" href=\"https:\/\/www.totalprosports.com\/olympics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Olympics<\/a>\u00a0in Paris, France.<\/p>\n<p>Trump, meanwhile, was injured in the attempt on his life as a bullet went through his right ear.
