Caitlin Clark hit in jaw by Jackie Young!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark took a hard hit to the face from Jackie Young of the Las Vegas Aces and was visibly upset by the absence of a flagrant penalty.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"google-auto-placed ap_container\"><\/div>\n<div>It was a bad night (and\u00a0last 24 hours) for Clark after putting up a forgettable outing against the Las Vegas Aces. (Photo by Dylan Buell\/Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The rookie\u2019s worst moment of the night, at least for her, came in the third quarter when Clark took an inadvertent elbow to the face from Aces guard Jackie Young.<\/p>\n<p>As she grimaced on the hardwood court at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Caitlin made a stern plea to the referees, hoping to persuade them to call a Flagrant 1 foul on Young. However, the referees allowed the game to continue, much to Clark\u2019s dismay.<\/p>\n<div class=\"google-auto-placed ap_container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Caitlin Clark misses layup, then hits Jackie Young in the face. She scored only 3 points and had a shooting percentage of just 10 percent. Some speculate that her public support for Kamala Harris may have been a distraction. Although Clark didn\u2019t explicitly endorse Harris, \u2018liking\u2019 Taylor Swift\u2019s endorsement of the presidential candidate caused a stir.<\/p>\n<div class=\"google-auto-placed ap_container\">\n<p>Prior to Wednesday\u2019s game, Clark explained that liking Swift\u2019s post wasn\u2019t necessarily an endorsement of Harris. By trying to appeal to both sides of the political spectrum, Clark seemed to be staying neutral, although it\u2019s likely that she will support Harris after Tuesday\u2019s controversy.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-pread\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I asked Caitlin Clark about her \u201clike\u201d of Taylor Swift\u2019s Instagram post endorsing Kamala Harris. Indiana is now 8-3 since the break and 19-18 with three games left in the season.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-pread\">The night belonged to Aces forward A\u2019ja Wilson, who broke the WNBA\u2019s single-season points record after scoring her 956th point to pass previous record owner and Seattle Storm guard Jewell Lloyd.
