Dave Grohl has a confession to make.<\/p>\n

The Foo Fighters frontman has welcomed a child \u201coutside\u201d of his marriage and is fighting to \u201cregain\u201d the trust of his wife, Jordyn Blum, and other children.<\/p>\n

The rock legend made the stunning revelation in an Instagram post on Tuesday, September 10.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,\u201d Grohl wrote in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cI plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cWe\u2019re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.\u201d<\/p>\n

A rep for Grohl told The Post that there was no additional comment from the musician at this time.<\/p>\n

The former Nirvana drummer, 55, met Blum, 48, at the Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar in LA back in 2001. Grohl later admitted that he ghosted her shortly after their courtship began.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I first met my wife, we went out on a few dates and I decided that I wasn\u2019t ready for a serious relationship, so I just stopped calling,\u201d he admitted in a 2007 interview with\u00a0ELLE<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But Blum stayed on his mind. \u201cAfter three months, I had a revelation and called her back,\u201d he added. Blum was shocked to hear the rocker\u2019s voice on the other end of the phone, telling him, \u201c\u2019Oh, I never thought I\u2019d hear from you again.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The pair went on to say \u2018I do\u2019 on August 2, 2003 in a private ceremony at their LA home. The guest list included A list names such as Clive David and and Grohl\u2019s former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic.<\/p>\n

\n<\/em><\/em>The marriage was Blum\u2019s first and Grohl\u2019s second. The star had been married to photographer Jennifer Youngblood. They divorced in 1997.<\/p>\n

Grohl and Blum welcomed their first child, a daughter, Violet Maye,18, in 2006. The pair have two other daughters, Harper Willow, 15, who was born in 2009, and Ophelia Saint, 10, in 2014.<\/p>\n

The rocker and his wife were recently spotted at Wimbledon in July, sitting inside the Royal Box along with other celebrities such as David Beckham.<\/p>\n

The family, who seldom make public appearances together as a full unit,\u00a0 stepped out together at the 2023 Grammys and posed on the red carpet.<\/p>\n

<\/em><\/em>Blum, a former model and MTV producer, has been private about her marriage to Grohl over the years.<\/p>\n

For his part, the rock star has over the years shared how much his wife means to him.
\n\u201cJordyn and Violet are anchors that keep me from completely disappearing,\u201d Grohl told\u00a0The Guardian<\/a>\u00a0in 2007.<\/p>\n

Grohl also looked at his career choices in a different light after having kids.<\/p>\n

\u201cI used to tour nine months out of the year. Now I don\u2019t like being away from my kids for more than 12 days,\u201d he said in an interview with\u00a0TIME<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s changed everything that I do. When you have kids, you see life through different eyes. You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate. It\u2019s inevitable that that would make its way into your songwriting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though by and large eschewing the limelight since her marriage to Grohl, Blum has been involved in a handful of Foo Fighters projects over the years. She\u00a0appeared in the music video for the band\u2019s track \u201cWhite Limo,\u201d off their 2011 album \u201cWasting Light,\u201d and co-directed their 2002 \u201cWalking a Line\u201d video. She was even described as the band\u2019s official \u201cdocumentarian\u201d in a 2003 NME article.<\/p>\n

Blum has also been a muse for Grohl over the years. The Grammy winner shared that the Foo Fighters song \u201cStatues,\u201d \u2013 from their sixth studio album \u201cEchoes, Silence, Patience & Grace\u201d \u2013 while speaking with\u00a0GQ<\/a>\u00a0in 2008.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat song is about my wife and me,\u201d he revealed. \u201cTo me there\u2019s nothing more beautiful than seeing the headstones of a husband and wife side by side in a graveyard.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grohl has also said that the 2002 song \u201cBurn Away\u201d was inspired by his wife. \u201c\u201dI was in love with my future wife and had some romantic \u2026 prom ballad,\u201d he told\u00a0The A.V. Club<\/a>\u00a0in 2006.<\/p>\n
