Now that Jason Kelce has retired from the NFL and taken a job as an analyst for ESPN, it\u2019s freed up his mother, Donna, to make more trips to Kansas City.<\/p>\n
Donna Kelce was at the Chiefs\u2019 27-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens last week at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium where she cheered for her other son, tight end Travis Kelce.<\/p>\n
In the past, Donna Kelce said she would plan out which games she would attend each season. She would try not to play favorites between her sons.<\/p>\n
But now, Donna Kelce can come to Kansas City for every home game if she so desires. And when in the City of Fountains, she has a favorite breakfast spot.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s a tidbit Kelce revealed Sunday on Instagram.<\/p>\n
\u201cTip for KC travelers\u2026 stop by Hemma Hemma at 71st & Wornall for breakfast or lunch\u2026 you will love the cinnamon rolls\u2026,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n
Chef Ashley Bare told The Star last year her vision for Hemma Hemma was for it to be a coffee shop, bodega and cafeteria.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re using higher-quality ingredients so we\u2019re at a slightly higher price point,\u201d Bare told The Star. \u201cThe idea is, we\u2019re here to help busy people feed themselves. You can come in and pick up fresh soups, salads, sauces, proteins. Or if you\u2019re entertaining, you can stop by and get dips, crackers, olives. You want to make tacos? We\u2019ve got salsas and tortillas from Yoli.\u201d<\/p>\n
As for the name, it means \u201cat home\u201d in Swedish, according to Bare.<\/p>\n
\u201cNothing I do really has anything to do with Sweden \u2014 it\u2019s just a word I learned a long time ago that stuck with me,\u201d Bare said. \u201cBut I\u2019m delivering meals to your home, I\u2019m making food that should feel like it was cooked at home. Pretty much everything I\u2019m doing with Hemma Hemma, it should all feel like home.\u201d<\/p>\n
It seems like home for Donna Kelce when she visits Kansas City.<\/p>\n
