Funeral services are being held in Pennsylvania for Columbus Blue Jackets player\u00a0Johnny Gaudreau<\/a>\u00a0and his brother Matthew, and as sad as that is, it got even worse with the news that came from Meredith Gaudreau.<\/p>\n In an emotional and tear-filled eulogy for her husband, the widow of the Columbus Blue Jackets star revealed Monday that she is nine weeks pregnant with the couple\u2019s third child.<\/p>\n Gaudreau said the week she found out about her third child was her \u201cfavorite week\u201d of her life.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re actually a family of five,\u201d she said during Monday\u2019s funeral. \u201cI\u2019m in my ninth week of pregnancy with our third baby. A total surprise, but, again, Johnny\u2019s beaming and so excited. I was so nervous because, again, this was a total surprise, but his reaction was just immediately kissing me and hugging me even though I was driving the car.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Johnny Gaudreau and brother Matthew Gaudreau were tragically killed by a suspected drunk driver while riding bikes together last month.<\/p>\n \u201cNoa, our oldest, hasn\u2019t even turned two yet,\u201d Meredith\u00a0continued on Monday<\/a>, per Sportsnet. \u201cIn less than three years of marriage, we\u2019ve created a family of five. It doesn\u2019t even sound possible. But I look at it as the ultimate blessing. How lucky am I to be the mother of John\u2019s three babies? Our last one being a blessing and so special, despite these difficult circumstances.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n While this was somewhat good news, it was also devastating since Johnny would never meet the child he helped to create with his wife.<\/p>\n She added, \u201cTo my babies, daddy loves you all so much, and you have the best daddy in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n During her tearful speech, Meredith also mentioned Johnny and Matthew\u2019s parents, Guy and Jane.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve heard stories, and I know raising these two boys so close in age was no easy feat, but they were both family first always. I wonder where they got that from,\u201d Meredith said with a smile. \u201cI pray that my relationship with my kids will mirror the relationship you have with all four of yours.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Here are today’s beautiful eulogies from Meredith and Madeline Gaudreau.
