Drew Bledsoe took a shot at former\u00a0Dallas Cowboys<\/a>\u00a0teammate and quarterback\u00a0Tony Romo<\/a>.<\/p>\n Before the first Sunday of the 2024\u00a0NFL<\/a>\u00a0season kicked off, ESPN aired a pre-taped interview with Bledsoe\u00a0on its<\/a>\u00a0\u201cSunday NFL Countdown\u201d program. Bledsoe talked about his experience with Tom Brady in New England before taking a savage shot at Tony Romo regarding their tenure in Dallas.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you\u2019re watching this Romo, you know this is true. The minute that he became the starter, he became pretty big in his own mind. He was no longer the curious, inquisitive guy. That was the difference between him and Tommy (Brady). Tommy became the starter, he still was asking all the questions\u2026all of a sudden Romo was the guy that had all the answers.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Brady started the 2001 season as Bledsoe\u2019s backup in New England. But after Bledsoe suffered an injury in a Week 2 home game against the New York Jets, Bill Belichick was forced to start the little-known Brady.<\/p>\n And the rest, as they say, is history.<\/p>\n Five years later, a struggling Bledsoe lost his job as the Cowboys\u2019 starting QB and was replaced by Tony Romo. The undrafted product led Dallas to the postseason that year, and Bledsoe subsequently retired.<\/p>\n “(Tony) Romo, you know this is true.
