The game wasn\u2019t particularly close, as the final score was 28-10, and quarterback\u00a0<a class=\"mai-link-injected\" href=\"https:\/\/www.totalprosports.com\/tag\/shedeur-sanders\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shedeur Sanders<\/a>\u00a0is already deflecting the blame.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview after the game, he blamed his own offensive lineman a lot.\u00a0<em>\u201cOf course, whenever you\u2019re able to run the ball consistently, then that opens up the pass,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0he\u00a0told reporters after the game.\u00a0<em>\u201cBut you gotta understand what your team is good at. The big headline, though, was that he was sacked a total of five times. It can be hard to get into a groove when constant pressure gets through.<\/p>\n<p>Sanders also wasn\u2019t lying when mentioning the run game was practically nonexistent. The Buffaloes\u2019 leading rusher was Dallan Hayden, who had 32 yards on five carries.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-the-colorado-buffaloes-and-shedeur-sanders-start-season-1-1\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Colorado Buffaloes And Shedeur Sanders Start Season 1-1<\/h2>\n<p>The Buffaloes started the season with a close 31-26 win against the North Dakota State Bison after an NDSU hail mary fell just short of the endzone.<\/p>\n<p>Many weren\u2019t convinced about Colorado\u2019s ability to compete against higher-level opponents, which became apparent against Nebraska.<\/p>\n<p>If Colorado wants to even consider making the playoffs, it will likely need a perfect season from here on out, and Shedeur Sanders will have to play at a Heisman level.
