He\u2019s back wearing a new number, picking the No. 8 jersey after previously wearing No. 23 with the team.<\/p>\n CJ revealed having chosen the number to honor his favorite basketball player, the late\u00a0Kobe Bryant<\/a>, who wore the No. 8 before switching to 24 later in his career.<\/p>\n \u201cMy favorite player is from here,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>he said back in March, per\u00a0NBC<\/a>.\u00a0\u201cI think tapping into a different mentality is something people will be great to see this year. I\u2019m on my Kobe mode right now, so I\u2019m coming out with the Mamba. I\u2019m coming out with the 8.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n The safety wore No. 22 with the\u00a0New Orleans Saints<\/a>\u00a0before switching to No. 23 in Philly.
