{"id":5670,"date":"2024-09-05T20:40:51","date_gmt":"2024-09-05T20:40:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usdailys.com\/?p=5670"},"modified":"2024-09-05T20:40:51","modified_gmt":"2024-09-05T20:40:51","slug":"espn-analyst-shockingly-tells-cowboys-owner-jerry-jones-he-could-drop-dead-at-any-moment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/usdailys.com\/?p=5670","title":{"rendered":"ESPN Analyst Shockingly Tells Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones He Could Drop Dead At Any Moment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"mai-link-injected\" href=\"https:\/\/www.totalprosports.com\/tag\/jerry-jones\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jerry Jones<\/a>\u00a0has strangely been reminded of his mortality ahead of the 2024\u00a0<a class=\"mai-link-injected\" href=\"https:\/\/www.totalprosports.com\/nfl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NFL<\/a>\u00a0season.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a class=\"mai-link-injected\" href=\"https:\/\/www.totalprosports.com\/nfl\/dallas-cowboys\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dallas Cowboys<\/a>\u00a0owner has been around a long time\u2014he\u2019s turning 82 next month\u2014but he\u2019s still very active and has shown no signs of slowing down despite having seen many, many moons.<\/p>\n<p>Given that the NFL season kicks off later today, the Cowboys were a talking point on ESPN\u2019s \u2018First Take.\u2019 Chris \u201cMad Dog\u201d Russo was on the show and suggested that Jones will not pay quarterback\u00a0<a class=\"mai-link-injected\" href=\"https:\/\/www.totalprosports.com\/tag\/dak-prescott\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dak Prescott<\/a>\u00a0unless he gets the team to the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n<p>He also claimed that the team owner is running out of patience as he\u2019s pretty old now. Anyone could kick the bucket at any time; hell, Russo could die before Jones. But talking death on a sports show will always be weird unless someone who died is being discussed.<\/p>\n<p>That said, Jones has waited a very long time to see the Cowboys win another Super Bowl. They have won three since he purchased the team in 1989 but haven\u2019t reached the NFC Championship Game since 1995.<\/p>\n<p>Dak has led the team to 12-win seasons in the last three years, yet they continue to fall short in the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>Last season was perhaps their most embarrassing, as the Green Bay Packers dumped them in the Wild Card round as a seventh seed.\u00a0Perhaps they go all the way this year?
