After being drafted by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2018 NFL Entry Draft, he signed with rival Philidelphia Eagles.<\/p>\n<p>Barkley signed a 3-year, $37.75 million deal with the Eagles in free agency, causing some stir among NFL fans who claimed the former Giants star ball carrier was a traitor. However, there was plenty of motivation behind the move.<\/p>\n<p>The Giants\u2019 inability to compete was one of the significant factors in the move; however, according to the RB himself, Barkley may think that the Eagles will no longer be competitive after a post to his Instagram story.<\/p>\n<p>In a screenshot uploaded to X by user MLFootball, Barkley\u2019s post on his story reads, \u201cBefore anyone else reports it, I want you to hear it from me first. However, it seems more likely that he will join a new brand.
