Ricky Pearsall was shot on Saturday at Union Square in San Francisco during an attempted robbery. His mother Erin Pearsall shared vital updates regarding her son on late Saturday.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0San Francisco 49ers<\/a>\u2019 first-round draft pick was attempted to be mugged at gunpoint. The wide receiver and the mugger got involved in a physical brawl in which both were shot.\u00a0Pearsall was shot<\/a>\u00a0in the chest and transported in an ambulance.<\/p>\n

Pearsall\u2019s mother, Erin, provided an update about her son\u2019s condition on Facebook.<\/p>\n

\u201cUpdate on my baby boy. First and (foremost), I want to thank GOD for protecting my baby boy. He is extremely lucky, GOD shielded him. He was shot in the chest and it exited out his back. Thanks be to GOD it missed his vital organs. He is in good spirits right now. Life is so precious my friends. Please love each other. My son was spared today by the grace of GOD. Please pray for my baby.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
