The 49ers rookie was reportedly shot in the chest during a robbery attempt, with his assailant allegedly trying to rid him of his Rolex watch<\/p>\n
ESPN\u2019s\u00a0Adam Schefter<\/a>\u00a0has since obtained a statement from the authorities noting that the officers who responded to the call found two injured males when they arrived on the scene.<\/p>\n Pearsall is said to have grappled with the robber, and both of them got shot in the struggle. The wide receiver is said to be stable while the suspect is in police custody.<\/p>\n \u201cOn August 31, 2024, at approximately 3:37 p.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to the area of Geary Street and Grant Avenue on a report of a shooting,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>the statement reads.\u00a0\u201cUpon arrival, officers located two male subjects suffering from injuries. Officers rendered aid and medics transported both subjects to a local hospital for further medical evaluation.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cDuring the preliminary investigation, officers learned one of the subjects attempted to rob the victim,\u00a0San Francisco 49ers<\/a>\u00a0player Ricky Pearsall. During the attempted robbery, a physical altercation ensued, and both the suspect and victim were injured. The suspect is in custody and charges are pending at this time.
