Miami Dolphins<\/a>\u00a0quarterback\u00a0Tua Tagovailoa<\/a>\u00a0blocked his brother\u2019s move to a certain SEC side a few years ago.<\/p>\n

Taulia Tagovailoa initially followed his older brother to Alabama but spent most of his college career at Maryland.<\/p>\n

He joined the Crimson Tide after Tua\u2019s exploits brought the program a national championship in 2017 but did not get much playing time after falling behind both the Fins QB and Mac Jones on the depth chart, something which would influence his decision to join the Terrapins.<\/p>\n

Taulia spent four years in Maryland, setting a Big Ten record for passing yards in his last college season. But, prior to the campaign, he considered declaring for the NFL Draft and reportedly turned down a mega $1.5 million offer to sign with Auburn.<\/p>\n

Tua Tagovailoa Wasn\u2019t About To Watch His Brother Move To Bama\u2019s Rivals<\/h2>\n

According to an upcoming book, \u2018The Price: What It Takes to Win in College Football\u2019s Era of Chaos,\u2019 Taulia\u2019s father, Galu, encouraged the latter to take the Tigers\u2019 offer and return to the SEC, but Tua stepped in and forbade him.<\/p>\n

The Crimson Tide and Tigers are fierce\u00a0NCAA<\/a>\u00a0rivals, and Tua Tagovailoa was having none of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re an Alabama family. You\u2019re not going to Auburn,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>he told his younger brother, with\u00a0CBS<\/a>\u00a0revealing as much, having published an excerpt from the aforementioned book.<\/p>\n
