Travis Kelce is going to get his wish.<\/p>\n

Nearly three months after expressing his desire to appear in the upcoming \u201cHappy Gilmore 2,\u201d Adam Sandler told Jimmy Fallon\u00a0on \u201cThe Tonight Show\u201d<\/a>\u00a0on Tuesday that the three-time Super Bowl champion will be in the movie.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know Travis Kelce wants to be a part of this,\u201d Fallon told Sandler.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, yes, yes,\u201d Sandler replied. \u201cTravis, he mentioned it, so we have a nice something for Travis. He\u2019s gonna come by. He\u2019s a very nice guy, you guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/em>Back in May, Kelce said on his \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast with brother Jason Kelce that he\u2019d do anything to be involved in the sequel to the 1996 flick and that he\u2019s a \u201chuge fan\u201d of Sandler\u2019s, though he conceded at the time that him appearing in the film was a \u201cconspiracy theory.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t even know there was a job opening for \u2018Happy Gilmore 2.\u2019 If there is, I\u2019ll be a f\u2013king extra,\u201d the Chiefs tight end said. \u201cAnything to get around \u2018Happy Gilmore,\u2019 an Adam Sandler film or set, count me in. I\u2019ll do anything in the movie. I\u2019ll be part of it any way I possibly can.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier Tuesday,\u00a0fans turned out in droves at the Hyatt Regency Morristown<\/a>\u00a0in New Jersey, where the movie is being filmed, for an open casting call for extras.<\/p>\n

Already a huge NFL star, Kelce\u2019s popularity has skyrocketed over the last year since he began dating Taylor Swift, and it\u2019s giving him a chance to perform on television away from the field.<\/p>\n

A one-time host of \u201cSaturday Night Live,\u201d Kelce is set to appear in his first major movie, a buddy-cop comedy called \u201cLoose Cannons,\u201d\u00a0according to the Hollywood Reporter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old is also set to host the upcoming Amazon Prime Video show \u201cAre You Smarter Than a Celebrity?\u201d an offshoot of \u201cAre You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?\u201d<\/p>\n
