Days after dismissing network stalwart Sam Ponder, ESPN appears to have named her successor as the host of\u00a0Sunday NFL Countdown<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Mike Greenberg will take over as the host of the four-decade-old program, according to a Tuesday morning report from Andrew Marchand of\u00a0The Athletic,\u00a0<\/em>which was\u00a0<\/em>confirmed in a network\u00a0release<\/a>. Greenberg, 57, currently hosts the ESPN morning show\u00a0Get Up\u00a0<\/em>and the radio show\u00a0Greeny<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Per Marchand and the release, Greenberg’s fellow\u00a0Sunday NFL Countdown\u00a0<\/em>panelists will include former Pro Bowl linebacker Tedy Bruschi, Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss, former coach Rex Ryan, insider Adam Schefter, and former Pro Bowl quarterback Alex Smith.<\/p>\n

Greenberg joined ESPN in 1996, and has hosted\u00a0Get Up\u00a0<\/em>since its 2018 debut.<\/p>\n

As pointed out by Marchand, ESPN will produce the Super Bowl for the first time after the 2026 season.<\/p>\n

“The network executives are designing its weekly sets for that big moment in the company\u2019s history,” the media reporter wrote.<\/p>\n
