Greg Biffle and his family were killed in a fiery plane crash in North Carolina<\/a> in December.<\/p>\n

With the crash still under investigation, TMZ Sports<\/a> has obtained audio from the 911 calls made in the immediate aftermath.<\/p>\n

Surveillance footage showed the moment the aircraft burst into flames<\/a>. There were also eyewitnesses present who called 911.<\/p>\n

Five such calls were released by authorities on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

One of the callers said he had been playing golf on a course nearby when he saw a plane crash into a tree line and move downward. He said there was a \u201chuge explosion\u201d<\/em><\/strong> shortly afterward.<\/p>\n

Another caller at North Carolina\u2019s Statesville Regional Airport described\u201ca huge fire\u201d <\/em><\/strong>after a \u201csmall, mid-sized jet\u201d <\/em><\/strong>went down.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know how many people were on board, but I do know there\u2019s at least two pilots,\u201d <\/em><\/strong>they said. \u201cProbably at least four passengers.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

An airport worker was heard on a call saying the airport would need to be shut down immediately.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been speculated that an unsecured cargo door may have caused the crash. But none of the callers indicated having seen anything of that nature.<\/p>\n

The crash occurred on December 18. Biffle, 55, was traveling with his wife, Cristina, and his two children, Emma (5) and Ryder (five). There were three other people on the plane: Chad Wadsworth, Dennis Dutton, and Jack Dutton.<\/p>\n

As noted above, the crash scene was caught by security cameras, with video showing the plane being engulfed as it hit the ground.<\/p>\n
