\u201cAny country, regardless of its power, must abide by international law and the principles of the UN Charter,\u201d the Chinese president said, according to state media. \u201cThe use of force, coercion, or abduction of another nation\u2019s leader sets a dangerous precedent and must not be normalized.\u201d<\/p>\n

Beijing argued that the alleged action violates core UN principles, including respect for sovereignty, non-interference in internal affairs, and the peaceful resolution of disputes.
