Travis Kelce has come under fire after the Kansas City Chiefs’ disappointing 16-13 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. The veteran TE tallied 70 receiving yards on seven receptions and no touchdowns. This loss eliminated the Chiefs from playoff contention (6-8).<\/p>\n

Once again, after the game, Travis Kelce<\/a> refused to be a part of the post-game press conference. He did the same during last week’s loss to the Houston Texans<\/a>, where he dropped a critical catch in the fourth quarter that contributed to the loss.<\/p>\n

Travis Kelce’s<\/a>\u00a0two-year contract extension ends after the 2025 season. Following his underwhelming performance this year and the\u00a0Chiefs’<\/a>\u00a0failure to be a playoff contender, there is an air of uncertainty about whether the team will provide him with a new extension next year.<\/p>\n

How well did Travis Kelce play this season?<\/h2>\n

This season has been a roller coaster ride for Kelce and the Chiefs. Last year, he recorded 823 yards and three touchdowns receiving while competing in Super Bowl LIX, where they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles.<\/p>\n

Kelce’s performance has been underwhelming this year as well, tallying 797 yards and five TDs receiving in 14 games. Against the Los Angeles Chargers, he had 70 receiving yards on seven receptions and no touchdowns.<\/p>\n
