{"id":44606,"date":"2025-12-02T20:32:12","date_gmt":"2025-12-02T20:32:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usdailys.com\/?p=44606"},"modified":"2025-12-02T20:32:12","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T20:32:12","slug":"costco-is-suing-the-trump-administration-over-tariffs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/usdailys.com\/?p=44606","title":{"rendered":"Costco is suing the Trump administration over tariffs"},"content":{"rendered":"<article class=\"w-100\">\n<section class=\"body | w-100\">\n<div class=\"article-body | article w-100\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">(CNN) \u2013 Costco, the third-largest retailer in the United States, is suing the Trump administration over tariffs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Costco filed with the U.S. Court Of International Trade on Friday, saying the legal move is needed in order to secure a full refund in the event the Supreme Court rules the administration overstepped when it imposed sweeping duties on U.S. trading partners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Supreme Court justices heard arguments in the tariffs case last month, but they have not said when a ruling will be made.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">If the Supreme Court agrees with the federal court that the tariffs are illegal, the Trump administration could have to make amends.<\/p>\n<div class=\"w-100\" style=\"height: 90px;\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">It isn\u2019t clear how or whether already-paid duties would be refunded.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Other companies including Revlon, Bumble Bee Foods and Kawasaki, as well as some democrat-led states and politicians, have filed similar lawsuits against the Trump administration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\"><i>Copyright 2025 CNN Newsource.
