Travis Kelce<\/a>\u2019s father, Ed Kelce, had a strong response to the haters who think the 36-year-old his past his prime.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>\u00a0have not lived up to expectations this season, needing a close comeback win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday just to get to 6-5 on the year. But Travis Kelce hasn\u2019t shown an ounce of panic, as evidenced by his\u00a0encouraging speech to Kareem Hunt on the sideline<\/a>\u00a0after the latter\u2019s fumble in the Colts game.<\/p>\n

Kelce\u2019s production in 2023 and 2024 wasn\u2019t up to his usual standards, with the future Hall of Famer finishing below 1,000 receiving yards both times.<\/p>\n

But this year, the three-time Super Bowl champion has turned back the clock with 54 receptions for 674 yards and four touchdowns, putting him on pace to finish above 1,000 yards again.<\/p>\n

And for those who still think Travis Kelce is washed? Ed Kelce had a stern message to deliver on his Instagram account:<\/p>\n

\u201cIf anyone questions how good Travis is playing; through week 10 he leads all tight ends in total yardage.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Heading into this week\u2019s action, only\u00a0Arizona Cardinals<\/a>\u00a0star Trey McBride has more receiving yards (797) than Kelce among tight ends, per\u00a0ESPN<\/a>. Of course, it\u2019s worth noting that McBride has been targeted far more often than Kelce (109 to 72).<\/p>\n

Kelce and the Chiefs will look to improve to 7-5 on the season when they visit the\u00a0Dallas Cowboys<\/a>\u00a0in the\u00a0second of three Thanksgiving Thursday games<\/a>. Like the Chiefs, the 5-5-1 Cowboys are in must-win territory.<\/p>\n

The Kansas City offense has struggled with consistency all year, though the absence of Rashee Rice (suspended six games) was a key reason why early on. With Kelce, Rice and Xavier Worthy all healthy, the Chiefs need their \u201cbig three\u201d pass-catchers to step up down the stretch.<\/p>\n
