The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, 30, teamed up with Adidas football on Wednesday, November 26, to remind people what matters most on the fall holiday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThanksgiving is a time to give thanks,\u201d he explained in an Instagram video<\/span><\/a>. \u201cReturn home, see family and meet new friends. Thanksgiving is a time to eat.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the Super Bowl<\/span><\/a> champion enjoyed all the staples like mashed potatoes and vegetables, he couldn\u2019t help but douse a turkey leg with ketchup.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom Patrick Mahomes, Happy Thanksgiving,\u201d the text read as the video concluded.<\/p>\n

Soon after the clip was posted, followers couldn\u2019t help but sound off on Mahomes\u2019 condiment of choice for his turkey meal.<\/p>\n

\u201cBro ketchup on the turkey?\ud83d\ude02 come on man,\u201d one fan wrote in the comments section. Another user added, \u201cAye he gotta chill on the ketchup \ud83d\ude02.\u201d<\/p>\n

One Kansas City Chiefs fan, however, didn\u2019t care what the quarterback ate for Thanksgiving. Instead, the focus should be on how he plays on the football field.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, November 27, the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Texas. The football game will also feature a halftime performance from Post Malone<\/b> and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders as part of the Salvation Army\u2019s Red Kettle Kickoff.<\/p>\n

\u201cHonored to be part of the @dallascowboys @salvationarmyus red kettle kickoff halftime show,\u201d Malone, 30, wrote via Instagram<\/span><\/a> on November 16 while wearing Dallas Cowboys gear. \u201cSee y\u2019all on Thanksgiving \ud83c\udf7b.\u201d<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Mahomes has made headlines for his love of ketchup.<\/p>\n

According to ESPN<\/span><\/a>, the NFL star spent most of his life putting ketchup on everything. In fact, he got bottles of it for his birthday growing up.<\/p>\n

According to the publication, Mahomes hesitated to ask for ketchup with his steak during a 2018 restaurant visit. (It\u2019s unclear if ketchup is available at Mahomes and Travis Kelce<\/b>\u2019s 1587 Prime steakhouse.)<\/p>\n

\u201cJust ask for it,\u201d Patrick\u2019s mom, Randi Mahomes<\/b>, said at the time. \u201cI know you want it.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a separate chat with reporters, Patrick was asked about his condiment preferences at a news conference.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s that weird, but I put it on my macaroni and cheese,\u201d he shared with reporters<\/span><\/a>. \u201cPeople seem to think that\u2019s a weird thing, some people think that\u2019s disgusting, but it\u2019s good to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Food preferences aside, both Patrick and his wife, Brittany Mahomes<\/b>, are taking time to express gratitude for the life they have built together.<\/p>\n

Before game time, Brittany, 30, shared a series of autumn-inspired photos snapped alongside her husband and their three kids Sterling, 4, Bronze, 2, and 10-month-old daughter Golden Raye.<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s too early to tell if Brittany and the kids will be in the audience for Patrick\u2019s Thanksgiving game, some family members cheered on the Chiefs during their November 23 game.<\/p>\n
