Federal judges on Tuesday agreed to hear an emergency bid seeking to halt former President Donald Trump\u2019s controversial $2 billion East Wing Ballroom project, a construction initiative that has drawn mounting legal scrutiny and public backlash.<\/p>\n

The petition\u2014filed by a coalition of watchdog groups, community organizations, and contractors\u2014argues that the project violates federal preservation rules and was pushed forward despite multiple unresolved lawsuits and an escalating payment dispute with ACECO, the demolition and contracting firm previously involved in Trump\u2019s East Wing expansion.<\/p>\n
