Travis Kelce<\/a> has arrived at Arrowhead Stadium for what could prove a pivotal game in deciding his future in the NFL.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs host the Indianapolis Colts<\/a> on Sunday afternoon with\u00a0Kansas<\/a> City’s postseason hopes hanging in the balance.<\/p>\n

Andy Reid<\/a>‘s side have reached five of the past six Super Bowls – winning three of them – but they are currently out of the AFC playoff places.<\/p>\n

According to the NFL’s own calculations, Kelce,\u00a0Patrick Mahomes<\/a>\u00a0and Co currently have a 47 percent chance of reaching the postseason.\u00a0Defeat by the Colts, however, would slash their chances to just 29 percent.<\/p>\n

The game comes a couple of days after Kelce addressed his looming retirement<\/a>. This was widely expected to be the 36-year-old’s final year in the NFL.<\/p>\n

But Kelce has opened the door to a 14th season with the Chiefs, revealing that he will make his mind up at the end of the 2025 campaign.<\/p>\n

The Kansas City Chiefs star hinted that he could delay retirement for at least another season<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

That could arrive sooner than planned if the Chiefs lose to the Colts and, on Sunday, Kelce showed up at Arrowhead in an all-black get up.<\/p>\n

It is not known whether Swift – a regular at Chiefs games over recent years – will be in the stands Sunday.<\/p>\n

The 36-year-old has won three Super Bowls with the Chiefs and, in recent years, Kelce has grown to become football’s biggest star.<\/span><\/p>\n

The tight end, who announced his engagement to Taylor Swift<\/a> back in August, is in the final year of his contract with Kansas<\/a> City. But on Friday he left the door open to returning for 2026.<\/p>\n

‘I want to give the Chiefs a good opportunity, whether I come back or not – or whether they want me back or not,’ Kelce said.<\/p>\n

He added that he plans to decide by early March – before the start of NFL free agency.<\/p>\n

‘I’d like to make that decision before they’ve got to get draft picks and free agency opens to fill the roster appropriately.<\/p>\n

‘All that will be at the end of the season. I won’t be thinking about it until then.’<\/p>\n

The Chiefs have struggled this season – Mahomes and Co are 5-5 heading into Sunday’s game – but\u00a0Kelce has shone.<\/p>\n

The tight end recently broke Kansas City’s record for most career touchdowns and the 36-year-old\u00a0currently leads the Chiefs in receptions (50), receiving yards (631) and touchdowns (4).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Only one NFL tight end – Trey McBride of the Cardinals – has amassed more yards than Kelce this season.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘He’s done a heck of a job,’ head coach Andy Reid said ahead of Sunday’s clash with the Indianapolis Colts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

‘He worked like crazy in the offseason to get himself in tip-top shape, which you have to do when you start reaching an older age.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
