Jack White will perform during halftime of the\u00a0Detroit Lions<\/a>\u2019 Thanksgiving game next week, but the moment might create drama.<\/p>\n

The 50-year-old musician has spent the past year openly criticizing President Donald Trump, and many fans think he might make another political statement during the show. And after\u00a0Bad Bunny\u2019s controversial selection as the Super Bowl halftime performer<\/a>\u00a0in February, Trump surely is not impressed by this.<\/p>\n

White, best known for creating the hit \u201cSeven Nation Army,\u201d has become one of rock\u2019s most recognizable artists. He hasn\u2019t held back his opinions since Trump returned to office last November. He has compared Trump\u2019s movement to Nazi Germany and accused him of trying to destroy democracy. His words have created debate every time a major political event has happened.<\/p>\n

A Collision Course With Trump Again<\/h2>\n

Jack White hasn\u2019t held back when it comes to Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

After the election, he said Americans knowingly voted for a \u201cfascist\u201d and warned that the country would now deal with the outcome. He said he worries about Project 2025, mass deportations and what he believes are threats to LGBTQ rights, climate policy and the education system.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s absolutely dumbfounding that this con man succeeded in pulling the wool over so many Americans eyes,\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>he\u00a0wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

His comments continued through the year. In August, he mocked a photo of Trump with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky and made fun of the Oval Office decor, saying,\u00a0\u201cLook at how disgusting Trump has transformed the historic White House. It\u2019s now a vulgar, gold leafed and gaudy, professional wrestler\u2019s dressing room.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

White responded again, saying he refuses to stay quiet and called Trump\u00a0\u201ca danger to America and the world.\u201d<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0He said no\u00a0\u201csmart person\u201d<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0could support him.<\/p>\n

He also shut down rumors that he banned Trump supporters from his concerts, saying everyone is welcome and that false posts online created the claim. White\u2019s merch even includes a $30 shirt that says\u00a0\u201cIcky Trump,\u201d<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0based on his song\u00a0\u201cIcky Thump.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
