Gracie Hunt applauded Erika Kirk and Turning Point USA\u2019s calls for an alternative\u00a0Super Bowl halftime show<\/a>\u00a0to go up against Bad Bunny\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n

The Kansas City Chiefs heiress praised Kirk \u2014 whose late husband, Charlie Kirk, was\u00a0shot in September<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 in a new interview.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really respect Erika for all that she\u2019s done, especially with creating a halftime show for America. You know, children are young, they\u2019re impressionable,\u201d Hunt shared\u00a0on Fox News Channel\u2019s\u00a0\u201cThe Will Cain Show.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>\u201cYoung women, young men and everyone, they just need someone to look up to.\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

Hunt, 26, went on to share that she\u2019s \u201cmost definitely\u201d looking forward to the Turning Point USA alternative halftime show.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs someone who doesn\u2019t yet have young children of my own, I can\u2019t imagine how difficult that is to navigate. But I think she\u2019s done an incredible job leading Turning Point, leading young women and really leading an alternative for young Americans. Football\u2019s becoming the world sport, but, at its heart, it\u2019s America\u2019s sport built around family,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>Hunt continued: \u201cWhen my grandfather named the Super Bowl, he intended it to be something children and families of all ages could come together and watch and really believed that the game should come first, that football is the attraction and that it didn\u2019t need to compromise its character or rely on cheap appeal to draw an audience, especially when that approach can alienate so much of the fan base.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NFL announced Bad Bunny as this year\u2019s Superbowl headliner in September,\u00a0prompting a wave of backlash from some NFL fans<\/a>\u00a0who disapproved of the \u201cMonaco\u201d singer\u2019s criticism of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe NFL honors women, the military, this country, celebrates communities. So, I think that whoever they select going forward for the halftime show needs to reflect those values more closely. So, I respect Erika.\u201d<\/p>\n

Instead, Hunt said she would love to see\u00a0Jason Aldean\u00a0or even Taylor Swift take the stage for a halftime show performance in the future.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think our generation gets a bad rap, but I am so excited by this movement I\u2019ve seen within this younger generation,\u201d she said. \u201cThey are hungry for a deeper \u2018why.\u2019 They are hungry for Jesus. November is global Bible month, and Bible sales are up.<\/p>\n
