KANSAS CITY, Mo. \u2014 The Kansas City Chiefs\u00a0took to social media<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>on Sunday morning to announce the halftime show performer for the Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.<\/p>\n On Thursday, Nov. 27, Texas-native and multi-genre music star Post Malone will take to the stage at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, for the highly anticipated game between the two mega-franchise teams.<\/p>\n The Thanksgiving Day game serves as\u00a0one of the largest and most-watched games<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0of the NFL season, alongside the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n It has featured performances at various stadiums and by stars across the U.S., like Dolly Parton, Luke Combs, Shaboozy, Lainey Wilson, Jason Derulo, John Fogerty, Jack Harlow, Pitbull and more.<\/p>\n The matchup will stand as a momentous occasion for many involved, as Kansas City has numerous ties to the singer, as well as Texas \u2014 particularly Dallas.<\/p>\n The last time Malone performed on an NFL field was for Super Bowl LVIII, on Feb. 11, 2024, in which he sang \u201cAmerica the Beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n Following that performance, and a Chiefs win against the San Francisco 49ers, Malone was seen at the afterparty, performing for star players and his fans. During the performance, though, a viral moment was captured, showing Patrick Mahomes\u2019 wife, Brittany, convincing\u00a0Malone to wear a Chiefs jacket<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0for one song.<\/p>\n The moment sparked some mixed reactions among each fan base; however, the virality later passed.
