Travis Kelce\u2019s ex-girlfriend issued an apology via Instagram Stories on Thursday for\u00a0past problematic posts that recently resurfaced<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to take a moment to apologize for the sincerely hurtful tweets I posted so many years ago,\u201d the 34-year-old began.<\/p>\n

Travis Kelce\u2019s ex posted a lengthy statement via Instagram Stories on Thursday.iamkaylanicole\/Instagram<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>\u201cSeeing them resurface last week has been incredibly difficult, and reading them now, I\u2019m ashamed that I ever thought or spoke that way,\u201d Nicole added, dubbing the posts \u201cignorant, hurtful and completely wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cThe woman I am today would never use those words or express those kinds of views.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nicole went on to seemingly take a subtle swipe at Taylor Swift\u2019s fans, writing, \u201cOver the years, I\u2019ve\u00a0seen firsthand<\/a>\u00a0how cruel and harmful online hate can be.\u201d<\/p>\n

She called her past tweets \u201cignorant, harmful and completely wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n

She noted, \u201cI would never want to add to that world of pain in any form. I have since deleted those tweets and my X account entirely because I refuse to keep that energy alive or contribute to a cycle of hate.<\/p>\n

\u201cI take full responsibility for what I posted, and I\u2019m truly sorry to anyone I may have hurt,\u201d the \u201cPre-Game\u201d podcast host continued. \u201cMy heart, values and perspective are completely rooted in empathy, love and respect for others.\u201d<\/p>\n

She concluded, \u201cI can\u2019t change the past, but I will continue showing through my actions who I\u2019ve become and what I stand for today.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>The social media upload came one week after Nicole, who dated Kelce on and off between 2017 and 2022,\u00a0deactivated her X account<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At the time, alleged homophobic slurs and racist comments Nicole made dating back to the early 2010s had gone viral on the platform.<\/p>\n

They came to light after Nicole make headlines for her\u00a0shady Halloween costume<\/a>, which was widely believed to be a dig at Kelce and Swift.<\/p>\n

She dressed as Toni Braxton from the \u201cHe Wasn\u2019t Man Enough\u201d music video.<\/p>\n

Nicole has since insisted that the ensemble was\u00a0not worn with the intention of \u201ctearing other women down\u201d<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 only \u201ccelebrating\u201d Braxton.<\/p>\n

She admitted that the outfit\u00a0was\u00a0<\/em>inspired by someone named Taylor<\/a>, but not the ones fan surmised.<\/p>\n

Instead, Nicole attributed the idea to a \u201cvery specific\u201d moment with her \u201cwhite best friend\u201d from childhood.<\/p>\n

In \u201cOpalite,\u201d the pop star, who has\u00a0been with Kelce<\/a>\u00a0since 2023, threw shade at her fianc\u00e9\u2019s\u00a0past romance<\/a>.<\/p>\n
