White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shared a rare family photo with her husband, Nicholas Riccio, last week<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old tied the knot with her 60-year-old husband in January 2025, just days before Trump was sworn in for his second term<\/p>\n

The couple welcomed their first child, son Niko, in July 2024<\/p>\n

\nLast week, Leavitt, 28, posted some fall-themed pics with her husband, Nicholas Riccio, 60. The pair brought their 1-year-old son, Niko, to the White House Halloween event, with the toddler dressed up as a pumpkin.
\nElsewhere in her fall slideshow, titled “October was a treat!”, Leavitt and Riccio joined their son for trick or treat, donning their own orange-and-black outfits.<\/p>\n

Leavitt and Riccio got engaged over the Christmas holiday in 2023 and welcomed their son, Nicholas Robert Riccio, nicknamed \u201cNiko,\u201d on July 10, 2024. They tied the knot in January 2025, just days before President\u00a0Donald Trump\u2019s second inauguration.
\nIn a February 2025 interview on The Megyn Kelly Show, Leavitt opened up about her marriage, which some may find unconvtentional due to the 32-year age gap.
\n\u201cHe is my greatest supporter, he’s my best friend and he’s my rock,\u201d she raved of Riccio, a real estate developer. \u201cHe’s built a very successful business himself so now he’s fully supportive of me building my success in my career.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple met when Leavitt was running for Congress in New Hampshire in 2022. She lost the seat, but ultimately gained a partner.
\n\u201cA mutual friend of ours hosted an event at a restaurant that he owns up in New Hampshire and invited my husband,\u201d she recalled of meeting Riccio. \u201cI was speaking. We met and we were acquainted as friends. And then we fell in love.\u201d
\nWhen pressed by Kelly, Leavitt admitted that she did have some hesitation about their age gap at first. \u201cI mean, it’s a very atypical love story, but he’s incredible,\u201d she said.
\n\u201cHe’s the father of my child, and he’s the best dad I could ever ask for,\u201d she continued. \u201cAnd he is so supportive, especially during a very chaotic period of life… I say, \u2018I walked into your life and it’s been a circus ever since,\u2019 but God bless him because he’s fully on board.\u201d

\nLeavitt told Kelly that her millionaire husband is nothing but supportive of all she does \u2014 though she\u2019s previously explained that she doesn\u2019t feel the need to show him off on social media.
\n\u201cHe’s an introvert (complete opposite of me),\u201d she told followers. \u201cI respect his privacy on here\u2014but he’s my number one fan, the best dad, and just the best man I’ve ever met.\u201d

\nLeavitt has recently faced some controversy about her attitude toward certain members of the press.
\nOn Oct. 20, the press secretary posted a private message between herself and HuffPost White House correspondent S.V. D\u00e1te in which he asked about a planned meeting between Trump and Russian President\u00a0Vladimir Putin.
\n\u201cWho suggested Budapest?\u201d D\u00e1te asked of the meeting location, noting the city’s significant history in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
\n\u201cYour mom did,\u201d Leavitt replied.
\nThe White House correspondent responded to the remark by asking if the topic was \u201cfunny\u201d to Leavitt.
\n\u201cIt’s funny to me that you actually consider yourself a journal [sic],\u201d she shot back. \u201cYou are a far left hack who nobody takes seriously, including your colleagues in the media, they just don’t tell you that to your face. Stop texting me your disingenuous, biased, and bull— questions.\u201d
\nKarine Jean-Pierre, press secretary under President\u00a0Joe Biden,\u00a0criticized the “inappropriate” exchange during a recent appearance on The View.
