McDonald’s fans have been left both stunned and outraged after discovering what ingredients actually go into one of their favorite sauces.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When it comes to fast\u00a0food<\/a>\u00a0restaurants,\u00a0McDonald’s<\/a>\u00a0has done pretty well to at least position itself as among the greats.<\/p>\n

Even if you don\u2019t eat it as much as you used to as a kid, back when you used to get asked by your parents if YOU had \u2018McDonald\u2019s money\u2019 to spend, you know it can hit that spot and scratch that itch.<\/p>\n

So while everyone has their order ready to go at any time, a lot of people don\u2019t actually know what goes into their fave sauces.<\/p>\n

When it comes to the famed Sweet \u2018n\u2019 Sour sauce, there is a fruity ingredient included in the condiment that most wouldn\u2019t have expected.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0TikTok<\/a>\u00a0clip regularly resurfaces on\u00a0social media<\/a>\u00a0showing two\u00a0Australian<\/a>\u00a0radio hosts revealing exactly what fruit that is.<\/p>\n

Radio host Lauren Phillips gleefully ruined her co-host\u2019s day after revealing the ingredients as he was midway through munching through the perfect combo of McNuggets and Sweet \u2018n\u2019 Sour sauce.<\/p>\n

Lauren made her co-host, Jason Hawkins, proclaim that \u2018today was a good day\u2019 as she brought in the McDonald\u2019s order.<\/p>\n

\u201cJason, you need to get into those nuggets and get into in particular your favorite sauce,\u201d she\u00a0said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jason, more than happy to chow down, began dipping his nuggets in the sauce and getting through the order with speed.<\/p>\n

\u201cWould you believe, it is actually apricot flavor?\u201d Lauren added.<\/p>\n

Jason stopped in his tracks, seemingly heartbroken and discarded his half-eaten nugget, complaining that he ‘hates apricots’. He added he can even taste the apricot, now being aware of the fruit within the sauce.<\/p>\n

Lauren then continued to joke that she had ruined his favorite order and TikTok users very much felt the same.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have ruined my favorite sauce,\u201d one flustered user commented.<\/p>\n

Another said: \u201cI can now never have sweet and sour sauce again.\u201d<\/p>\n

While a third commented: \u201cNow that I’ve heard that it actually does taste like apricot. Big Mac sauce and nuggets is where it is at though.\u201d<\/p>\n

Some users did clarify that this apricot ingredient was not necessarily in other sweet and sour sauces.<\/p>\n

The official McDonald\u2019s Australia TikTok account went on to address the stunned fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cHear me out, try dipping your Soft Serve in Sweet and Sour Sauce,\u201d the account wrote.<\/p>\n

Other users smugly questioned how some McDonald’s fans weren\u2019t aware of the ingredient.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow do people not know this?\u201d one asked.<\/p>\n

Someone else claimed: \u201cSweet n Sour is essentially Apricot jam and white vinegar.\u201d<\/p>\n
