Counter-terrorism<\/a>\u00a0cops in the\u00a0UK<\/a>\u00a0have joined an investigation following a mass\u00a0stabbing<\/a>\u00a0on a train as it departed Peterborough station having to make an unscheduled stop at Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, on Saturday (November 1).<\/p>\n Police<\/a>\u00a0reportedly were called to the incident at 7.39pm where 10 victims were raced to hospital with stab wounds as cops took down the alleged knifeman with a Taser.<\/p>\n Nine of the victims are believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries, with one having reported serious but none-critical wounds.<\/p>\n British Transport Police confirmed in the early hours this morning (Sunday) that there have been no fatalities following the frenzied attack.<\/p>\n 10 people are believed to have been stabbed on the train with nine currently in hospital with life-threatening injuries (JUSTIN TALLIS\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/cite><\/div>\n The force also confirmed two people have been arrested in connection with the bloody rampage and has since declared a ‘major incident.’<\/p>\n Police initially declared Code Plato following the stabbing, a national code word used by British emergency services when responding to a ‘marauding terror attack,’\u00a0reports<\/a>\u00a0Daily Mail.<\/p>\n However, it was later rescinded, BTP confirmed to the outlet.<\/p>\n Armed police,\u00a0paramedics<\/a>, air ambulances and transport police descended on the London North Eastern Railway (LNER) service, headed to\u00a0London’s<\/a>\u00a0King Cross from Doncaster.<\/p>\n Witnesses said the attack unfolded around nine minutes after the train left Peterborough, with passengers triggering the emergency alarm and some taking cover in the toilets.<\/p>\n Others claimed they were trampled on by fleeing passengers as they saw someone carrying a ‘big knife’ through the carriage.<\/p>\n Armed police are said to have tasered the suspect (JUSTIN TALLIS\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/cite><\/div>\n One passenger called Gavin told Sky News how he heard people racing across the train during the attack, while overhearing someone say: “They’ve got a knife.
