Donald Trump has made a staggering amount of money in settlements over the course of 2025 – and now he wants even more.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As the President of the United States,\u00a0Trump<\/a>\u00a0will be paid $400,000 a year, a salary that’s been the same for all presidents over the last 20 years,\u00a0says<\/a>\u00a0CBS News.<\/p>\n

While this might sound a bit tight for all the work the president does, you might feel a little less bad for Trump knowing he also gets an additional $50,000 for expenses (which is non-taxable), a $100,000 travel account and a $19,000 entertainment budget.<\/p>\n

Of course, Trump already had his own personal\u00a0business<\/a>\u00a0ventures prior to coming into office and is said to have a net worth of over $7 billion as of September 2025,\u00a0as per<\/a>\u00a0Forbes.<\/p>\n

Bernie Sanders<\/a>\u00a0recently took to\u00a0Twitter<\/a>\u00a0to detail the shocking amount of\u00a0money<\/a>\u00a0Trump’s said to have made this year, including the cash he’s won in court.<\/p>\n

Here’s which businesses have been forced to fork out millions of dollars to the president this year…<\/p>\n

Meta<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Earlier this year, Meta agreed to pay Trump $25 million. The suit filed by the businessman-turned-politician dates back to 2021 when Trump sued the company (which owns\u00a0Instagram<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Facebook<\/a>) but suspending his accounts after the January 6 riots.<\/p>\n

The restrictions weren’t lifted until 2023.<\/p>\n

Of the $25 million, $22 million will go towards a fund to pay for Trump\u2019s presidential library, The Guardian\u00a0reported<\/a>, which will launch in January 2029.<\/p>\n

YouTube<\/strong><\/h2>\n

At the end of September,\u00a0YouTube agreed to pay Trump $24.5 million<\/a>\u00a0to settle yet another suit dating back to 2021. Like Meta, YouTube suspended Trump’s channel following the US Capitol riots.<\/p>\n

The president alleged that the video sharing platform had ‘accumulated an unprecedented concentration of power, market share, and ability to dictate our nation\u2019s public discourse’.<\/p>\n

The case was dismissed in light of a settlement being reached.<\/p>\n

Twitter<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In February, Twitter, now known as X, agreed to pay Trump $10 million. This was yet another social media platform that suspended his account after the 2021 riots.<\/p>\n

Twitter (which wasn’t owned by\u00a0Elon Musk<\/a>\u00a0at the time) said the permanent suspension was ‘due to the risk of further incitement of violence’.<\/p>\n

In July 2025, Paramount, the parent company of CBS, agreed to pay $16 million towards Trump’s presidential library as part of a settlement or to charitable causes of his choosing, rather than straight into his pockets.<\/p>\n

Trump filed a suit regarding an interview the network broadcast on CBS with former Vice-President\u00a0Kamala Harris<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In Sanders’ tweet, he said the president was awarded $36 million from CBS. This is likely to be in reference to the $16 million payout from Paramount and the rumoured $20 million ‘gift’ from the network.<\/p>\n

As per<\/a>\u00a0The Guardian, Trump said that the future owner of the US TV network CBS, David Ellison, will provide him with $20,000,000 worth of advertising and programming.<\/p>\n
