Fifty Shades of Grey<\/em> star Dakota Johnson hit back with a candid response in a new interview that saw her asked about some of the ‘revealing fashion choices’ she’s made on red carpets over the years. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Johnson<\/a>, 36, is far from the first celebrity<\/a> to wear a so-called ‘naked’ dress at star-studded events, with Zendaya<\/a>, Zo\u00eb Kravitz and Bella Hadid also among those who have opted for more revealing designs in front of the cameras.<\/p>\n

Some of these looks are more daring than others – with Bianca Censori famously wearing a completely sheer dress<\/a> at the Grammys – and just last month Johnson showed off high-neck, long-sleeved black Gucci dress that just so happened to completely see-through.<\/p>\n

The actor discussed such looks in a new interview<\/a> with Vogue Germany, where she was asked: “Over the years, you’ve made some revealing fashion<\/a> choices. Do you ever worry about whether a naked dress might be ‘too sexy’?”<\/p>\n

Whether you believe there’s such a thing as ‘too sexy’ or not, Johnson made her thoughts clear with her straight-to-the-point response: “I really don’t care.”<\/p>\n

The star went on to stress that as long as she feels comfortable in a dress, she’s happy to give it a whirl.<\/p>\n

Johnson explained: “I’ve been able to wear some of the most beautiful dresses, and I feel beautiful in them, so I wear them. Sometimes those dresses look good on me. But there are also some we’ve tried on that didn’t look good at all.<\/p>\n

“It depends on the shape, the finish, the color, and everything else. So if I find a beautiful dress that I feel comfortable in, of course I want to wear it! And it’s fun to wear a sexy dress.”<\/p>\n

Johnson’s discussion of her fashion choices came after she explained that she’d been taught from a young age to be proud of her body, thanks to her mom being ‘very open about the topic of bodies’.<\/p>\n

“She taught us how to take care of our bodies and love them, and that our bodies are beautiful,” she said. “And I think that’s something really important for a young girl because we’re constantly told that we’re not good enough. And if you’re not told from a young age by the woman you look up to the most that you’re perfect and smart and special and strong and brave, it can really break you.<\/p>\n

“It’s hard to re-teach yourself that love later on. That was a huge gift she gave me.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
