Ashley Biden, daughter of Joe Biden, has issued an update from hospital relating to her father\u2019s treatment for cancer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In May of this year, the former POTUS announced that he had been diagnosed with an \u201caggressive\u201d form of prostate cancer, revealing at the time that he was pursuing several treatment options.<\/p>\n

The discovery was reportedly made after the 82-year-old reported urinary symptoms, leading to doctors finding a small nodule on his prostate.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast week, President\u00a0Joe Biden\u00a0was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms,\u201d Biden\u2019s office said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate\u00a0cancer, characterised by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, a spokesperson for Biden\u2019s team offered a rare update on his battle with the illness, revealing that the 82-year-old was receiving radiation therapy as part of his treatment plan, as well as hormone treatment.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs part of a treatment plan for prostate cancer, President Biden is currently undergoing radiation therapy and hormone treatment,\u201d the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

According to Hello Magazine<\/a>, Biden\u2019s daughter Ashley has now offered another update, and this one from the hospital where the former president has just completed a course of radiation treatment.<\/p>\n

In a short video shared to Instagram by Ashley, Biden was seen ringing the bell at Penn Medicine Radiation Oncology in Philadelphia, a symbolic tradition for cancer patients\u00a0upon their completion of a round of treatment.<\/p>\n

Ashley Biden posted the vide to her almost 29,000 Instagram followers, with a caption that read: \u201cRung the Bell! Thank you to the incredible doctors, nurses, and staff at Penn Medicine. We are so grateful!\u201d<\/p>\n

Another photo showed Biden standing with his family, which Ashley captioned: \u201cDad has been so damn brave throughout his treatment. Grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking of his own diagnosis earlier this year, Biden said: \u201cIt\u2019s all a matter of taking a pill, one particular pill, for the next six weeks and then another one.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, the prognosis is good. You know, we\u2019re working on everything. It\u2019s moving along. So I feel good.\u201d<\/p>\n
