Being an\u00a0NFL<\/a>\u00a0quarterback is probably one of the most challenging jobs to do in the league. In terms of memorizing your playbook, making the right reads, and even taking on the brunt of the media scrutiny, former NFL signal caller\u00a0Colin Kaepernick<\/a>\u00a0knows quite a bit about that.<\/p>\n

Kaepernick has been out of the NFL since the 2016 season after the national anthem controversy. The former 49ers dual threat led a movement in which players would kneel during the anthem to protest police brutality.<\/p>\n

The NFL decided they had enough after the movement got so out of hand that former US president Donald Trump commented on it. Kaepernick never played another snap in the league. He has made numerous comeback attempts but has been unsuccessful until now.<\/p>\n

Former Michigan bench boss\u00a0Jim Harbaugh<\/a>, who also coached the quarterback in San Francisco, was brought into the Los Angeles Chargers locker room this season to be the head coach after years of mediocrity. In an interview with\u00a0USA Today<\/a>, Harbaugh said that \u201che\u2019d be a tremendous coach.\u201d<\/p>\n

The odds are that the former NFL star won\u2019t take the offer as he is still determined to play in the league. His latest comeback attempt was last season after he tried joining the New York Jets\u2019 practice roster after the\u00a0Aaron Rodgers<\/a>\u00a0injury.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Harbaugh did, however, say that the 36-year-old is indeed thinking about a return to the game in a coaching role. \u201cWe talked a little bit about it,\u201d Harbaugh said in the interview, adding, \u201cHe said he was going to get back to me. We haven\u2019t reconnected since then.\u201d<\/p>\n

While it may break the internet if the controversial figure somehow lands a roster spot in the NFL, we can\u2019t deny that Colin Kaepernick being on the same coaching staff as his former play-caller would be a pretty exciting story.<\/p>\n
