Just when you think the\u00a0Brandon Aiyuk<\/a>–San Francisco 49ers<\/a>\u00a0trade saga is about to conclude, another twist always seems to emerge\u2026.and today is no different.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday afternoon,\u00a0NFL Network\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0Ian Rapoport reported that the 49ers and\u00a0Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a>\u00a0were close to a Brandon Aiyuk trade. Rapoport stated that the Steelers and Aiyuk were \u201cin a good place on\u201d a new deal, and that the 49ers just had to sign off on it.<\/p>\n

But in an update on Tuesday evening,\u00a0NFL<\/a>\u00a0Network\u2019s Mike Garafolo reported that another significant hurdle has emerged in a Steelers trade for the star wide receiver.<\/p>\n

According to Garafolo, Aiyuk prefers to remain with the 49ers and that the two sides have one last thing \u201cthat needs to be ironed out.\u201d If that matter gets finalized, Aiyuk will drop his trade request and and sign an extension, Garafolo stated.<\/p>\n
