A storm of controversy is swirling around the NFL’s decision to feature Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny as the headliner for the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show, with the President voicing strong disapproval.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

During a phone appearance on “Greg Kelly Reports,” President Donald Trump<\/strong> called the choice unreasonable. He also admitted<\/strong> that he was unfamiliar with the reggaeton star, Benito Antonio Mart\u00ednez Ocasio,<\/strong> known professionally as Bad Bunny.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

On the segment that ranged from urban crime<\/strong> to government spending<\/strong>, host Greg Kelly<\/strong> steered the conversation toward the league’s selection of Bad Bunny. <\/strong>He referred to the performer dismissively<\/a> and portrayed him as an artist opposed to ICE and quick to label things he dislikes as racist.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

When asked to weigh in, Trump<\/strong> expressed apparent bewilderment. “I never heard of him. I don’t know who he is. I don’t know why they’re doing it. It’s like [sic] crazy, and then they blame it on some promoter that they hired to pick up entertainment. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous,” he said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Adding to the controversy, House Speaker Mike Johnson, <\/strong>in an interview on October 7, echoed Trump’s criticism<\/a>. He said he was unaware of Bad Bunny before the announcement and suggested that the choice did not appeal to a broad audience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Johnson also highlighted the Super Bowl’s massive global reach,<\/strong> particularly its influence on children,<\/i> and argued that the halftime stage should spotlight role models rather than controversial figures.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
