He was later traded to the Atlanta Hawks along with a future first-round pick. However, before entering the NBA, he was often compared to a Golden State Warriors star player while playing for the Oklahoma Sooners. Recently, during an appearance on Podcast P with Paul George, the three-time NBA all-star explained an incident where he was being called the next\u00a0Stephen Curry<\/a>, who\u00a0recently poked fun<\/a>\u00a0at Anthony Edwards.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat (pressure) really all started in college. We played in the Phil Knight tournament, had a really good showing, and then we were on ESPN every day. I swear that\u2019s all they were pushing \u2013 \u2018The next Steph Curry.\u2019 I never paid too much attention to it. I never was like, \u2018Yeah, I\u2019m about to be the next Steph.\u2019\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Young said.<\/p>\n
