Mark Sanchez is lucky to have only misdemeanor charges against him.<\/p>\n

Sanchez has been charged with battery with injury, public intoxication<\/a>, and unlawful entry of a vehicle after an incident in Indianapolis early on Saturday morning that left him hospitalized with stab wounds.<\/p>\n

Sanchez, who now works as an\u00a0NFL<\/a>\u00a0analyst for Fox Sports, confronted a 69-year-old truck driver, and things went haywire almost immediately. The argument occurred in an alley near the Westin Indianapolis hotel and the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown.<\/p>\n

The man was backed into the loading dock area when Sanchez became enraged over where he was. Surveillance footage reviewed by officers showed Sanchez \u201cgrabbing and throwing\u201d the man toward the wall of the Westin hotel.<\/p>\n

The man pepper-sprayed Sanchez in the face, but it had little effect, so he informed officers that he had to take things to the next step.<\/p>\n

The man, who thought his life was in danger, pulled out a knife, and when Sanchez approached him, the man \u201cstruck him two or three times.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sanchez was said to be in critical condition and was transported<\/a>\u00a0to the hospital.<\/p>\n
