Her cousin suggested spending a summer with her in\u00a0<strong>Springfield, Illinois<\/strong>. What started as a casual visit turned into a career-defining moment.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI tagged along to the TV station, wrote a little story on a garden walk, and the news director put it on air,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0she said.\u00a0<em>\u201cThat was it.
