Growing up in a\u00a0Pakistani Muslim household<\/strong>, American staples like\u00a0meatloaf and peas<\/em>\u00a0were rare treats \u2014 but they became her comfort food.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy friends would roll their eyes if it was meatloaf night, but I was thrilled. It felt like going out to eat!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

But it wasn\u2019t food that changed her life. It was a summer with her cousin, a local news reporter, that flipped the script.<\/p>\n

Originally a\u00a0premed student<\/strong>\u00a0at Indiana University, Aishah was struggling academically and unsure of her path. Her cousin suggested spending a summer with her in\u00a0Springfield, Illinois<\/strong>. What started as a casual visit turned into a career-defining moment.<\/p>\n

\u201cI tagged along to the TV station, wrote a little story on a garden walk, and the news director put it on air,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0she said.\u00a0\u201cThat was it. It hit me like a train \u2014 I knew what I wanted to do.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

She immediately switched majors and never looked back.<\/p>\n

From small-market stations to\u00a0FOX 59<\/strong>\u00a0in Indianapolis, where her\u00a0\u201cTaking Action for You\u201d<\/em>\u00a0segments segments made her a trusted name in Indianapolis news.\u201d By\u00a02019<\/strong>, she was on national airwaves as a\u00a0Fox News correspondent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Now based in\u00a0Washington, D.C.<\/strong>, she\u2019s covering the nation\u2019s most high-stakes stories, including the 2024 election campaign trail, where she had firsthand access to history in the making.<\/p>\n
