Disgraced hip-hop icon Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs is so confident he\u2019ll be released from jail on time served, he has already booked speaking engagements for next week, prosecutors revealed during his sentencing Friday.<\/p>\n

The shocking revelation came as prosecutors began opening arguments in Manhattan federal court, pressing their case that the Bad Boy Records founder should be sent to prison\u00a0for more than 11\u00a0years.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven now at sentencing for his conviction for two federal crimes \u2026 he doesn\u2019t fully grapple with how his actions got him here,\u201d federal prosecutor Mary Slavik said. \u201cHis respect for the law is just lip service.<\/p>\n

The damning condemnation of Combs\u2019 alleged arrogance unfolded as Slavick argued that the music mogul used his power and wealth to abuse and sexually humiliate his victims, including his longtime ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.<\/p>\n

Combs, 55,\u00a0was convicted on two prostitution counts<\/a>\u00a0in July, but acquitted on more serious sex-trafficking and racketeering charges.<\/p>\n

The two-month trial exposed the sordid details of Combs\u2019 sick proclivity for \u201cfreak-offs\u201d \u2014\u00a0baby oil-drenched<\/a>\u00a0and drug-fueled marathons in which he forced Ventura and others to have sex with male escorts.<\/p>\n

But Slavick said the case wasn\u2019t just about the depraved \u201cfreak-offs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Victims who testified at the trial, including Ventura, weren\u2019t expected to make appearances during the sentencing, though they sent statements on the aftermath of the rapper\u2019s abuse.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\u201cThis isn\u2019t a case about just sex,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s a case about real victims who suffered real harm at the hands of the defendant \u2026 it\u2019s about a man who did horrible things to other people to satisfy his own sexual gratification.\u201d<\/p>\n

Victims who testified at the trial, including Ventura, weren\u2019t expected to make appearances during the sentencing, though they submitted lengthy statements detailing the traumatic aftermath of the rapper\u2019s abuse.<\/p>\n

One victim \u2014\u00a0Combs\u2019 ex-assistant who testified under the pseudonym \u201cMia\u201d<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 had been slated to speak, but she backed out at the last minute after the mogul\u2019s attorneys attacked her credibility in a court filing that prosecutors deemed \u201cbullying.\u201d<\/p>\n

Judge Arun Subramanian agreed that the defense letter crossed a line.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe tone of the defense\u2019s letter was inappropriate,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

While Combs\u2019 victims won\u2019t speak, the defense said two or three of his children will make statements, as well as the Rev. Gary Johnson and two doctors who evaluated the\u00a0\u201cI\u2019ll Be Missing You\u201d rapper.<\/p>\n

Subramanian also said he could consider Combs\u2019 acquitted conduct \u2014 meaning charges that the jury did not convict the \u201cAll About The Benjamins\u201d rapper on could still factor into his sentence.<\/p>\n

Those include the many accounts of Combs\u2019 wretched violence that were presented at trial.<\/p>\n

Combs, who wore an oatmeal sweater and sported grayish-white hair, visibly slumped at the defense table when it became clear that the judge would consider those despicable actions.<\/p>\n

Later, when Slavick noted that Combs admitted to the violence, the mogul who once stood atop the entertainment world sharply exhaled and appeared to mouth the word \u201cf\u2013k.\u201d<\/p>\n

Combs\u2019 attorneys have opposed this idea as they\u2019ve argued for a lenient sentence.<\/p>\n<\/figcaption>Prosecutors have recommended a sentence of 11 years in prison, while the defense is asking for the Bad Boy Records founder to be released on time served \u2014 a light sentence of 14 months behind bars.<\/p>\n

Subramanian, as the hearing began, said sentencing guideline calculations called for a term of between nearly six and seven years behind bars.<\/p>\n

The judge, however, could impose a sentence that\u2019s shorter or longer than the recommendation.<\/p>\n

Slavick contended Combs\u2019 \u201cabuse was consistent, casual even, but life-altering for those on the bruised end of it.\u201d<\/p>\n
