Jimmy Kimmel\u2019s suspension and reinstatement has been big drama of late but his family has said there are still more \u2018bombshells\u2019 to come. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/em> show was suspended last week after an episode saw the comedian speak about the assassination of Charlie Kirk<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kimmel discussed the right\u2019s reaction to the murder, namely Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s, and the following day, the announcement was made that the show would be suspended \u2018indefinitely\u2019.<\/p>\n

However, on 22 September, less than a week since his suspension, Disney announced the show would be returning. <\/a><\/p>\n

This return has already been marred in controversy as their has been a backlash by Kimmel\u2019s critics who rejoiced at his suspension.<\/p>\n

As well as this, Sinclair Inc., whose local stations pay to run ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, announced that they would be upholding the move to keep the show off the air.<\/a><\/p>\n

The company said: \u201cBeginning Tuesday night, Sinclair will be preempting Jimmy Kimmel Live! across our ABC affiliate stations and replacing it with news programming. Discussions with ABC are ongoing as we evaluate the show’s potential return.\u201d<\/p>\n

This means that in nearly 40 major markets on TV<\/a>, Kimmel\u2019s show will simply be replaced with local programming. Jimmy Kimmel\u2019s cousin and longtime collaborator, Sal Iacono, has recently spoken out on the whole episode.<\/p>\n

Speaking on The Bill Simmons Podcast, Iacono said he didn\u2019t want to reveal too much at this stage but said more \u2018bombshells\u2019 will likely follow.<\/p>\n

He did say that many Jimmy Kimmel Live staff members could lose their jobs and added: \u201cI wish I could say anything. There are a couple bombshells still there. I\u2019m feeling good. We\u2019re going to be all right. Everything\u2019s going to be just fine.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also explained that he wasn\u2019t worried about Kimmel\u2019s future going forward, regardless of what happens.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cHe\u2019ll be fine, whatever he wants to do. He might just want to be a pop-up chef and start making barbecue around the South Bay. He\u2019ll do a great job.\u201d<\/p>\n

Curiously, Kimmel is yet to release a statement or comment publicly regarding the whole situation.<\/p>\n

Kimmel has had many defenders since his show was suspended with many arguing it is an attack on free speech.<\/p>\n

Countering this, those in support of the suspension have said that it was a good move by the companies.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump has been one of the supporters of this move and after news broke of the suspension he took to Truth Social and said: “Great News for America: The ratings challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is CANCELLED.<\/p>\n

“Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done. Kimmel has ZERO talent, and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that\u2019s possible. That leaves Jimmy and Seth, two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC!!!”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
