A pastor has claimed that the world is ending today, and the idea has spread vastly and really caught on… <\/strong><\/p>\n

If you were born in the 90s or 80s, your youth is likely filled with many moments where you beat the odds and lived beyond the prophesized doomsday dates.<\/p>\n

In fact, predictions of the end of the world were pretty much a mainstay of being young. There was the year 2000 , where everyone was convinced everything technological was going to go caput and this would spark the end of the world.<\/p>\n

Then there was 6\/6\/2006, triple six, need I say more… Then came the Mayan prophecy of 2012, then there was 2020 when much of the world shut down and it goes on and on until we get to present day.<\/p>\n

Apparently, there is another doomsday date upon us, in fact, the world is set to end today, the end is nigh? Nope, I\u2019m afraid the end is now.<\/p>\n

That is at least according to a South African man who said he \u2018saw Jesus\u2019.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, pastor Joshua Mhlakela took to YouTube<\/a> and said that he knows that God will be coming to \u2018rescue the Christians<\/a> out of the world\u2019 on September 23 and 24, 2025.<\/p>\n

He added that the Christian savior came to him in a vision and revealed when he would be returning to Earth.<\/a><\/p>\n

The pastor recalled in an interview with CettwinzTV: “I’m not dreaming, I’m looking at him as he’s talking.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe’s speaking through him mind. He says to me on the 23rd and 24th of September 2025, I will come to take my church.”<\/p>\n

While conspiracy theories about the world coming to an end isn\u2019t anything new, and many are often missed by the wider public, this one has taken hold on social media.<\/p>\n

As this prediction is more tied to the Christian religion, in that the pastor describes the rapture, some on TikTok<\/a> have made videos describing how they have or are getting ready.<\/p>\n

For those unaware, the idea of the rapture describes the moment when Christians will rise into the sky and meet their God, while the non-believers are left on Earth and life will continue but considerably worse for those left.<\/p>\n

Some people on Twitter<\/a> have been making light of the whole situation and remarking at the whole bizarre situation.<\/p>\n

One user wrote: \u201cChristianTok thinks the rapture is happening tomorrow btw.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another wrote: \u201cSorry haven\u2019t bene around here much. I\u2019ve been distracted by Rapturetok.\u201d<\/p>\n

With another adding: \u201cTrue story: the psychiatrist I’ve been seeing for almost a DECADE went bonkers and joined this exact rapture group out of NOWHERE and PERMANENTLY CLOSED HIS PRACTICE this week.\u201d<\/p>\n

Some Christians have even questioned the stir this prediction has been causing.<\/p>\n

One Twitter user commented: \u201cEvery time I hear people talk about [the rapture] like it was real I ask myself did I just skip that part of the bible because I don’t remember reading it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think you mean EvangelicalTok, normal people believe the Bible which says we wont know the day nor hour.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another person quoted scripture that argues against a person knowing the date of Jesus’ supposed return.<\/p>\n

They wrote: \u201cI\u2019m not religious but didn\u2019t the bible say ‘But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father’. Mat 24:36.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
