Danica Patrick did a victory lap after ABC pulled the \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live!\u201d show<\/a> off the air \u201cindefinitely\u201d due to the late-night host\u2019s comments about the shooting death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.<\/p>\n

The former NASCAR driver, who has been outspoken in her support for President Trump, reposted a news headline about Kimmel and wrote, \u201cHuman decency is coming back. Thank God.\u201d<\/p>\n

Patrick also reposted a previous tweet from Kirk in 2017 that said, \u201cJimmy Kimmel isn\u2019t funny.\u201d<\/p>\n

It came after she mourned Kirk in a post on Instagram, including photos of them together on his podcast.<\/p>\n

Kimmel, 57, was taken off of the air at ABC following his comments on the Kirk shooting, which suggested that Tyler Robinson \u2014 the man who is charged with killing Kirk on Sept. 10 during a Utah Valley University event \u2014 could have been aligned with Trump\u2019s \u201cMake America Great Again\u201d movement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe MAGA Gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,\u201d Kimmel said. \u201cIn between the finger-pointing, there was grieving.\u201d<\/p>\n

An ABC spokesperson\u00a0said on Wednesday, \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live will be pre-empted indefinitely,\u201d<\/p>\n

Nexstar and Sinclair, which own ABC affiliate stations, confirmed the news.<\/p>\n

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr said Thursday that Kimmel appeared to \u201cmislead\u201d the American public about facts regarding Kirk\u2019s killing.<\/p>\n

Trump ripped Kimmel afterwards and called on NBC News cancel its own late-night shows, \u201cThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,\u201d and \u201cLate Night with Seth Meyers.\u201d<\/p>\n
