Jamie Lee Curtis has made her thoughts clear on Jimmy Kimmel’s TV show being suspended after he made comments about the death of Charlie Kirk.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Conservative activist\u00a0Kirk<\/a>\u00a0was fatally shot at Utah Valley University on September 10.<\/p>\n

He was speaking at the institution as part of a Turning Point\u00a0USA<\/a>\u00a0debate – a non-profit he founded that ‘advocates for conservative politics on high school, college, and university campuses’.<\/p>\n

Kirk was addressing a crowd of 3,000 people when he was shot in the neck.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old suspect, Tyler Robinson, has since been\u00a0charged with seven offences<\/a>, including aggravated murder and obstruction of justice.<\/p>\n

Kirk’s assassination has sparked major debate, especially due to his controversial opinion on gun laws.<\/p>\n

Back in April 2023 during a TPUSA-Faith event in Salt Lake City, he said: “I think it\u2019s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights.”<\/p>\n

Freakier Friday\u00a0<\/em>star\u00a0Jamie Lee Curtis\u00a0<\/a>is among those who’ve weighed in on the incident.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Marc Maron on his\u00a0WTF<\/em>\u00a0podcast, published on Sunday (September 15), she\u00a0said of Kirk<\/a>: “I disagreed with him on almost every point I ever heard him say, but I believe he was a man of faith, and I hope in that moment when he died, that he felt connected with his faith.”<\/p>\n

She continued: “Even though his ideas were abhorrent to me. I still believe he\u2019s a father and a husband and a man of faith. And I hope whatever connection to God means that he felt it.”<\/p>\n

He played an unusual clip of\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0– who considered Kirk a close ally – being asked how he was coping with his death outside the White House.<\/p>\n

Trump replied: “I think very good,” before diverting to talk about renovations at his Washington, D.C. residence.<\/p>\n

Pointing to construction nearby, he boasted about a new White House ballroom: “It\u2019ll be an absolutely magnificent structure.”<\/p>\n

This prompted Kimmel to quip: “He\u2019s at the fourth stage of grief: construction. This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he called a friend. This is how a four-year-old mourns a goldfish, OK?”<\/p>\n

He later showed another clip of Trump, who again shifted focus to his ballroom plans when asked about Kirk\u2019s killing.<\/p>\n

The host concluded: “There\u2019s something wrong with him, there really is. Who thinks like that? We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”<\/p>\n
